Today’s Devotional

"Everyone Who Loves; Knows Me And Has Been Born Of God..."

Know My Love For You.

Love is the focus of many stories, understanding my love for you is difficult –when you begin to try and comprehend it, it will surpass all the knowledge you have. You have struggled with understanding my great love for you, you may be living like my love is dependent on your performance, and how you practice your faith. You may be thinking of what thing to do to make me love you more. When you sin or when you don’t pray or read my word, you often feel you have to make it up to me by doing something, which is a lie of the enemy.

You are my child, and I want you to understand that I love you, and this is not based on your performance. You do not have to be big, you do not have to have a big status in society, do not think that I love anyone more than I love you. I love you more in a moment, than anyone else could in their lifetime. You were once a sinner who thought you didn’t deserve mercy, now that I touched you with grace, you should no longer look at those who are astray as evil people, nor should you seek signs that try to make you worthy of my love. I love you because of who I am, and not because of who you are. My love for you is like an ocean, though you see its beginning, you cannot see its ending. When you love other people, then it is evident that I am with you. I do not love you when you are worthy of being loved, but at all times my love is unchanging.

When you follow me truly, it may be difficult when you are apart from my love and you may feel like a heap of sin. My love washes your sins that are red as scarlet, and I make your garment as white as snow, without blame. Though you are incomplete, I love you completely, though you may be imperfect, I love you perfectly. Whenever you feel lost and without direction, allow my love to encompass you and bring you back to me. I love you, even you who are considered to be awkward, sorrowful, broken, or flawed. Know that you are created for greater things, to love and to be loved.

My dear one, when you understand my love for you, and my gift of grace, then surely out of gratitude strive to live worthy of this great love, do not grief my spirit, but rather let me lead you in the right direction.  It burdens me when you do not believe I love you, do not trust the lie of the enemy, that you cannot trust the grace and love I have for you, and that you must take matters into your own hands.

My love for you never changes, it is not influenced by your possessions, or by appearance. It does not change because of your abilities and talents; it is simply there. It is there for you when you are happy or sad, hopeful or discouraged, and whether you feel you deserve it or not. I do not love you because I need to receive from you, but because I am delighted to give.  Let my love set a standard for you to follow, let lead you because I loved you first, I desire that you return that love to me and that you begin to love others just as I have loved you. The more you do that the more growth you will notice and the more you will begin to understand the depths of my love.

Reflect On These Words Today:

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!”

(Isaiah 49:15 )
