Today’s Devotional

"The Sacrifices That Please Me Are; Not Forgetting to Do Good And Sharing With Others..."

Find Your Calling.

Choosing to share the little you have with others can teach you a lot of lessons about yourself. Sharing can not only help you discover work you are passionate about, but it can also provide you with a sense of purpose. Countless people have found their calling through sharing as well as engaging in volunteer activities. You may choose to share to help build a home for a family in need, only for you to realize that your passion is to work full time to provide homes to low-income families. Someone else can choose to share what they have with children, and spend time with them, only to realize they would want to open a school that helps the needy. If you are willing to pay attention to what you do charity towards, you might just discover your life’s work.

My child, I am calling you to be exactly who I created you to be when I put you in your mother’s womb. When I made you I knew that the world needed you today with your skills and unique gifts. I knew that there are things that are needed to be done in this world, that only you were made to do. Like how charity brings who you are out, my calling in your life is also this freeing as I am only calling you to be your true self.

I am aware of your limitations and weaknesses, but I have still called you, because the unique combination you are made of weaknesses and strengths are what is required to do what you were called to do, right there where you are. You are enthusiastic when you engage in charity, so even now do not get cold feet for this new stage of your life. I know what is happening in the world, and I am still not panicking or surprised. My heart longs for a good relationship, where there is redemption and reconciliation, so no matter how scary a situation may be, I promise you to never leave you alone.

Go Out And Change The World.

All great change starts with small actions, and this can be to share something, no matter how little. Your generosity when you share in the form of money, time, and energy, has the potential to affect massive change in the lives of creatures and other people. For example, you may sacrifice an hour of your time to visit a sick patient, although that one hour may just be enjoyable to you, you may have impacted someone else’s life by giving them hope, and encouraging them to coordinate with doctors for better recovery. This example demonstrates how charity works; it sets off a chain of small yet meaningful actions that bring about big change.

My child, I have a plan to change the world through you. I want to see you transform lives and make an impact in eternity, and that is by sharing the hope that is in you. Speak to someone about me, about your faith, even when you don’t feel qualified. You may hesitate to do so because you are not sure if you can answer the questions they will ask, or you are going to harm the relationship once you engage them on this level. When you step into what I’m calling you to do, I will give you in every moment the right things to do or say. Beloved one, the world needs help, and I encourage you to do so in whatever way. Do charity with a willing heart and do not brag about it, what your left hand gives, let the right one not know. Seek me, about where mainly you should put your focus on. There is no greater show of love than to serve others.

Reflect On These Words Today:

“God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.”

(1 Corinthians 1:28-29)
