"Whoever Loves Genuinely Has Been Born Of God And Knows God..."

Let Your Love Be Abundant.

As you step into a deeper relationship with me, your heart will naturally warm up to love people just as I have loved you. Loving people is not a chore for me, it comes as a fiery passion to all.  No one has ever seen me, so you cannot love me if you do not love your brother. I abide in you and my love is perfected there, and that can be shown by the way you treat others. Allow my word to establish in you the need of having selfless love.

You may think that the best way to show your discipleship would be surrendering all forms of human contact and pleasure in order to commit your entire life to a relationship with me. But my main desire is to produce in you a passionate pursuit and love for everyone around you.  You show how deeply you love me, by how you love others. Do not desire to live like the Pharisees, following all the laws, but thinking they are better than others, and dismissing them. You may be obedient and you take your time to worship and do the right things, however you may be continuously judgmental to people who live in sin, and you may even not want to associate with them. This trait makes you worse than the sinner himself.

I know that you are incapable of selflessly and consistently loving others in your own strength. I know that apart from me, you can be selfish, fearful, inconsistent, and have pride. However, I am fully capable of transforming your heart if you will open the doors of your heart to my love, and allow me to change you for the better. If you allow me to heal your wounds and satisfy you, you will receive genuine love and care for others that will cast out all fear and selfishness. Love one another as I have loved you, though it may not be easy, be patient and ask for help. What do you think is holding you back from loving others selflessly? Is it pain that may have been caused, and you are afraid someone may hurt you again? Where do you feel the need of my love so that you may heal?  Let go of anything that may limit you from trying again, to be vulnerable, and to trust in me. Allow my spirit to guide you so that you can show love to those who desperately need it around you.

Love Is Vulnerable.

You cannot truly love someone if you are not willing to be vulnerable to them. You may be loving someone, but every time, you hold back, because you don’t want them to think you are weak, you don’t want to get hurt and you are not sure if the person will stand by you. When you love someone with this mindset, it becomes very difficult to fully explore the love, and much of the joy in the relationship is denied.

My child, when I loved you, I loved you wholly, and your actions are able to affect me in one way or another. My spirit grieves when you are doing wrong, and I am greatly offended when you love something else first. In the same measure when you are loving other people, it is best to love them without barriers. To show them the love that is unconditional and has second chances. Extend the grace and let people believe that I am there through your actions of love. I will shield your heart from hurting, and if it happens I will take you through it.

Reflect On These Words Today:

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

(2 Timothy 1:7)
