Today’s Devotional
"It Is The Purpose Of The Lord That Will Stand, Even Though Many Are The Plans Of Man..."
Your Actions Are An Investment.
You may wonder why investment is really necessary, but the simple answer is that investment offers financial security in the long run. The earlier you invest, the more profit you will be able to get out of your money because your money will have had sufficient time to grow. Investments help to boost the money you get from employment and give you the freedom of buying whatever you want. Investments can be long-term or short-term, depending on what you are trying to achieve, could be buying a home, or even simply buying a laptop. Different people invest for different reasons depending on the life goals they have.
My child, if you want something so dearly you will have to sacrifice yourself for it. You may want us to have a great relationship, yet you do very little towards it. Our relationship is an investment and you have to be willing to put work into it. The one who loves me shows it by action. How can you desire a fruitful relationship, yet your investment is hatred, bitterness, malice, gossip, and all these other vices?
My dear child, you have so much potential to reflect me to the world, but you have to be ready to shed off what it takes from your investment. I will help you be disciplined, but first, you have to trust me. The chastisement of your character is not easy work, it requires a lot of sacrifices and a bearing spirit. I desire that you let yourself go to me, and I will help you find that worthy purpose that lies inside of you. Like a good investment, working on yourself will let you have long-term results even eternally. The future matters, more so, since you can create it from now.
Let Your Latter Days Be Filled With Peace.
A lot of people do investments for retirement. Getting social security from the government is not enough and putting money in a savings account is no better since it loses value because of the rate of inflation. People mostly invest so that they can have a comfortable retirement and be free to do the things they have always dreamt of doing. Investments give you peace in your days of old age, and it helps you be more self-independent.
My child, it is surely sad to see an old person suffering or living a life of regret and bitterness. You may think you have all the time in the world to live however you want, but this cannot be much further from the truth. Your youth is like a smoke that quickly passes away or a beautiful flower that quickly withers. In all things you do, you have to think of what investment you are creating for your future. Do not be full of yourself or think you are too wise. There are those important relationships you may have stopped working on, could be with your loved ones, it is time to start investing in them. Your health, your spiritual life, and what you allow yourself to focus on will one day give you the rewards accordingly.
Blessed child, desire to have peace in your latter days. Though it may not be important right now, seek counsel on how to do what is right, humble yourself, so I can lift you up. I will cover you from shame, even now until your old age, since your heart genuinely seeks to please me. A contrite and broken heart, I will never despise.
Reflect on These Words Today:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
(Galatians 6:9)
